Nicholas is looking at the handwashing photos we have posted near the mirror above the sink. He says, “Wash hands.”
I respond, “You’re looking at the photos to show you how to wash your hands. You’re doing it all by yourself!” Nicholas looks at me and smiles. I respond, “You’re smiling, Nicholas! I imagine you feel very proud. You washed your hands all by yourself!”
